The NCAPD is a recognized component group of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.  The two organizations partner for annual dues collection procedures, with the AAPD taking a lead role in the process.  AAPD active and affiliate members are invited to join the NCAPD at the time AAPD dues are paid.

The AAPD sends a paper and e-invoice on July 1st annually, a second e-invoice in mid-August, a second paper on September 1st, and a final invoice in October.  Annual dues are $150 for active members, $75 for affiliate members, while retired and student members pay no dues.  A delinquent letter is sent in November with phone calls and suspension for unpaid members in December. The NCAPD suspension of membership mirrors that of the AAPD.

It should be noted that dentists, are not required to join the AAPD to be members of the NCAPD.  In such cases, the qualifications for membership are spelled out below, along with application forms and an explanation of the application process.
